Player Code of Conduct
As a member of the Central Florida Lacrosse Club, I understand and agree to abide by the following code of conduct:
- Respect for All: I will treat teammates, coaches, opponents, officials, and spectators with respect and dignity, both on and off the field. I will refrain from any form of discrimination, harassment, or offensive behavior.
- Sportsmanship: I will display good sportsmanship at all times. I will accept both victories and defeats with grace, understanding that we can learn from every experience.
- Integrity: I will uphold the highest level of integrity in all aspects of the game. I will not engage in any form of cheating, including using banned substances or altering equipment.
- Safety First: I will prioritize the safety of myself and others. I will follow all safety guidelines and instructions provided by coaches and officials, and I will report any unsafe conditions immediately.
- Commitment and Attendance: I understand that my commitment to the team is essential for its success. I will attend practices, games, and team events regularly and notify the coach in advance if I am unable to attend.
- Punctuality: I will arrive on time for all team activities. Being punctual demonstrates respect for my teammates, coaches, and the game itself.
- Communication: I will maintain open and honest communication with my coaches and teammates. If I have any concerns or issues, I will address them privately and respectfully.
- Equipment and Uniform: I will take responsibility for my equipment and ensure it is in good condition for practices and games. I will wear the team uniform as required and maintain it in a presentable manner.
- Follow Team Rules: I will adhere to all team rules and guidelines set forth by the coaching staff and club administration.
- Academic Priorities: I understand that academics are essential, and I will prioritize my studies to maintain a balance between academics and athletics.
- Community Involvement: I will participate in community service and outreach activities organized by the club, giving back to the community that supports us.
- Social Media and Public Representations: I will be mindful of my behavior and comments on social media platforms, understanding that my actions reflect on the Central Florida Lacrosse Club.
- Alcohol, Drugs, and Tobacco: I will refrain from using alcohol, illegal drugs, or tobacco products during club activities, practices, games, and events.
- Positive Role Model: As a representative of the Central Florida Lacrosse Club, I will strive to be a positive role model for younger players and members of the community.
- Conflict Resolution: In the event of conflicts or disagreements, I will handle them maturely and respectfully, seeking resolution through appropriate channels.
Failure to adhere to this code of conduct may result in disciplinary action, including suspension or expulsion from the Central Florida Lacrosse Club.
