CFL Summer Sixes Pick Up

The Central Florida Lacrosse Club, is dedicated to growing lacrosse in East Orlando. Our mission is to teach young men various life skills through lacrosse. Over the past 20 years, the Central Florida Lacrosse Club has trained some of the top players in the Orlando area. Many of these individuals went on to play lacrosse at the collegiate level and positively affect their communities.

Please review the below content for basic information regarding our Summer Sixes League. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to reach out to us!

CFL Summer Sixes Rules

Each team consists of 12-15 short stick players. Smaller team size allows for more competitive teams. Fewer players mean more touches and more playing time for everyone involved.

Field Size

The field size is 60x40 yards, similar to the World Lacrosse Sixes and PLL Sixes. This is the version of lacrosse that will be played in the Olympic Games.

Game Length and Turnovers

Play consists of four 10 min. running clock quarters, a 3 minute halftime and 2 mins in between quarters. Faceoffs begin each quarter and goalies restart after goals/shots that go out of bounds. Missed shots go to the defensive team.

There is no body checking in sixes lacrosse!! This allows for players to focus on their speed and stick skills. Equal pressure is allowed and stick checks are allowed. Takeout hits will result in ejection from the game.

Lacrosse is a great sport for ages. Lacrosse teaches players several different fundamental athletic abilities including footwork, teamwork, communication, and hand eye coordination skills to name a few.

For our CFL Summer Sixes Pick Up League we will only allow rising 9th-12th grade players.
