The Viking Clan- 2026 Edition

From tournament championships and the introduction of new youth teams to the launch of a local lacrosse league, 2026 has been a year of exciting milestones for the Central Florida Vikings.

ORLANDO, FL — November 2026 — The Central Florida Vikings Lacrosse Club has experienced an incredible year of growth, development, and new opportunities. As 2026 draws to a close, the Vikings are celebrating more than victories on the lacrosse field. They are celebrating the expansion of their Viking family, the development of young athletes, and a renewed commitment to growing lacrosse throughout Central Florida.

With a history spanning more than 20 years in the East Orlando community, the organization has continued building on its tradition of developing talented lacrosse players while creating opportunities for athletes of all ages and experience levels.

Championship Success and Competitive Growth

One of the year's biggest competitive accomplishments came when the Vikings High School A team captured the 2026 Dolphins Generations Cup Championship, adding another title to the organization's history of tournament success.

The championship represents the hard work, dedication, and competitive spirit that have become hallmarks of the Vikings program.

Throughout the year, Vikings athletes continued competing in tournaments and developing their skills against programs from across Florida.

The club's high school boys program remained a cornerstone of the organization, providing athletes with opportunities to sharpen their skills, develop chemistry, and prepare for their upcoming high school seasons.

Meanwhile, the Lady Vikings continued building on the momentum of their 2025 Santa Sevens Shootout Championship, strengthening the foundation of the girls program and creating opportunities for future growth.

Viking Summer Tour: From Orlando to the Carolinas

The summer of 2026 was filled with competition, travel, and unforgettable experiences as the Central Florida Vikings hit the road for their 2026 Viking Summer Tour, competing in three tournaments across Florida and South Carolina.

The Vikings participated in:

Orlando Summer Faceoff — Orlando, Florida: The Vikings competed close to home, showcasing their skills against other programs and continuing their development throughout the summer.

Dolphins Generations Cup — Jacksonville, Florida: The Vikings Black team captured the 2026 Dolphins Generations Cup Championship, bringing home a tournament title and highlighting the program's competitive success.

Carolina's Classic — Columbia, South Carolina: The Vikings traveled beyond Florida to compete against regional opponents, gaining valuable experience while representing Central Florida on a larger stage.

The Viking Summer Tour was about much more than wins and losses. It gave athletes opportunities to compete against different opponents, strengthen friendships, develop team chemistry, and create lasting memories with their teammates and families.

From competing in their hometown to traveling across state lines, Vikings players demonstrated their dedication, determination, and commitment to improving their game.

The summer's championship success and tournament experiences reflected the organization's continued growth and its commitment to providing competitive opportunities for its athletes.

Three tournaments. Two states. One Viking family.

A New Generation of Vikings Takes the Field

Perhaps one of the most exciting developments of 2026 was the expansion of the Vikings youth program.

The organization placed a renewed emphasis on introducing lacrosse to younger athletes, creating a developmental pathway from kindergarten through high school.

The fall season featured the Wolf Pups (K–2nd grade), Warriors (3rd–5th grade), Berserkers (6th–8th grade), and high school Vikings, along with opportunities for girls through the Lady Vikings program.

For the Wolf Pups, 2026 marked their inaugural season. These young athletes took their first steps into organized lacrosse, learning the fundamentals of passing, catching, scooping ground balls, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

The team even celebrated its first victory!

While wins and losses are part of sports, the greatest accomplishment was watching young players discover a love for lacrosse, build confidence, and develop friendships.

The Berserkers also experienced significant development throughout the fall, demonstrating improvements in stick skills, teamwork, field awareness, and overall game understanding.

These youth programs represent the future of the Central Florida Vikings and are essential to the organization's long-term mission.

Spooky Sevens League Brings Lacrosse Programs Together

Another major milestone was the creation of the Central Florida Spooky Sevens Lacrosse League, held at Timber Creek High School on October 17, 24, and 31st.

Designed to make lacrosse more accessible and affordable, the league provided local programs with an opportunity to compete in a fun, fast-paced environment without the expense and travel requirements often associated with traditional tournaments.

The league featured Halloween-themed youth divisions, including the Pumpkin and Reaper divisions, and welcomed teams from throughout the surrounding lacrosse community.

The Vikings also organized high school boys and girls competition during the fall, expanding opportunities for athletes to participate.

Rather than focusing exclusively on the Vikings, the Spooky Sevens League was designed to support the entire Central Florida lacrosse community.

By bringing programs together, encouraging participation, and providing additional game experience, the Vikings took an important step toward building a stronger local lacrosse environment.

Summer Training and Player Development

The Vikings also expanded their commitment to player development through summer training opportunities.

The organization's summer programming emphasized fundamental skills, positional development, offensive and defensive techniques, and conditioning.

These sessions allowed players to continue improving outside the traditional spring and fall seasons while receiving additional instruction in smaller training environments.

The goal was simple: help every athlete improve, regardless of their experience level.

Throughout 2026, the Vikings continued promoting the importance of individual development through wall ball workouts, consistent practice, and skill repetition at home.

Growing the Lady Vikings Program

Girls lacrosse remained an important priority throughout 2026.

The Lady Vikings high school team made significant strides during the fall season, showing continued improvement in team chemistry, stick skills, game understanding, and competitive confidence.

As the season progressed, players demonstrated the benefits of consistent practice, coaching, and competition.

The organization also began laying the groundwork for additional girls youth teams, recognizing the importance of creating opportunities for female athletes to begin playing lacrosse at an earlier age.

The Vikings' long-term vision includes establishing a complete girls developmental pathway, from kindergarten through high school, with teams at every age level.

Making Lacrosse More Accessible

Throughout the year, the Vikings placed a major emphasis on removing barriers that prevent families from trying lacrosse.

The organization promoted introductory opportunities, including a free youth lacrosse clinic in September, designed to welcome boys and girls in kindergarten through eighth grade.

To help reduce the financial burden of getting started, the Vikings also introduced equipment incentives for new players, including padded sticks, helmets, and girls lacrosse sticks for eligible age groups.

These initiatives reflect the organization's belief that every child should have an opportunity to experience lacrosse, regardless of whether they have played before or own equipment.

Building a Stronger Viking Community

The Vikings' growth has not been limited to the field.

Throughout 2026, the organization continued working to strengthen relationships among players, families, coaches, local businesses, and the broader community.

The club expanded its efforts to recruit additional youth coaches and volunteers, recognizing that a successful developmental program depends on dedicated individuals willing to invest their time in young athletes.

The organization also developed new sponsorship opportunities to help local businesses support the growth of lacrosse in Central Florida.

From parents cheering on the sidelines to coaches volunteering their time, the continued support of the Viking community has played a critical role in the organization's progress.

Looking Ahead: Winter Ball, LAXMAS, and Spring 2027

Although 2026 is not yet over, the Vikings are already preparing for an exciting conclusion to the calendar year and an even bigger 2027.

Winter Ball will provide additional training and competition opportunities for the Berserkers, high school boys, and Lady Vikings, with practices beginning after Thanksgiving and tournament opportunities scheduled throughout December and January.

The organization is also preparing to host its FREE LAXMAS Lacrosse Clinic on December 12 at Timber Creek High School.

Open to boys and girls in kindergarten through eighth grade, the holiday-themed event will introduce new athletes to lacrosse while bringing the community together for a great cause.

In partnership with the Timber Creek High School Student Government Association, the clinic will feature a holiday toy drive benefiting Children's Miracle Network. Families are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy to help support local children and families.

Looking further ahead, the Vikings are preparing for another spring season with an ambitious goal: continue expanding youth participation, develop additional boys and girls teams, and make lacrosse one of the fastest-growing youth sports opportunities in East Orlando.

The organization's long-term vision includes reaching more than 200 boys and girls across its youth and high school programs by fall 2027.

More Than a Lacrosse Club — A Viking Family

As the Central Florida Vikings reflect on 2026, the organization's greatest accomplishments extend beyond championship trophies and final scores.

They can be found in the young player who picked up a lacrosse stick for the first time, the Wolf Pup who celebrated a first victory, the middle school athlete who developed confidence, and the high school player who became a leader.

They can also be found in the coaches, parents, volunteers, and families who continue to dedicate their time and energy to making the program successful.

The Vikings are building something bigger than a competitive lacrosse organization. They are building a community where athletes can develop friendships, learn valuable life lessons, compete, and grow together.

To every player, parent, coach, volunteer, sponsor, and supporter who has been part of the journey — thank you for helping make 2026 a special year for the Central Florida Vikings.

The future is bright, the Viking family is growing, and the best is still ahead.

One Clan. One Family. One Mission.
