CFLC RULES & REGULATIONS
1. You and your child will abide by the following policies, rules and regulations as established by the CFLC Board of Directors and abide by the US Lacrosse Code of Conduct and/or Pledge which can be found on the US Lacrosse website (uslacrosse.org)
2. You will allow CFLC or qualified medical personnel to provide limited medical attention and/or transportation to a medical facility if you are not present in case of an injury and/or emergency at practice and/or games.
3. To not hold CFLC coaches, volunteers, agents, officers and/or directors liable for injury, loss or damage occurring as a result of your child’s participation in CFLC activities. You are your child are aware that lacrosse is a potentially hazardous activity and assume the risks associated with participation, and including the effects of weather, traffic, etc.
4. Unless written request is received to the contrary, images of participants in CFLC may be utilized as part of promotional materials and/or appearance on the website.
5. Players, coaches, spectators and parents are to conduct themselves in a manner that "Honors the Game" and demonstrates respect to other players, coaches, officials and spectators. By signing this you agree to adhere to the full US Lacrosse Code of Conduct.
6. All required equipment for players must be worn during games. All required equipment must be at practices with players and when coaches are ready for players to suit up, it must be worn from that time on until coaches say otherwise. If player forgets equipment the player can not play during game and can not practice. See required equipment form to determine equipment needs for each level.
COACHES
1. Coaches/Assistant Coaches are responsible for safety of the players.
Coaches will be assigned a league 1st aid kit to be turned back in at end of
season, and will need to let directors know if it needs to be re-stocked during
season. Coaches should bring drinking water to practices and games. A league
cooler will be supplied. Easy access to phone or cell phone for emergencies,
please make sure phones are charged if possible.
2.Coaches/Assistant Coaches or a designated team parent will be responsible for
players at pick up time from games and practices. Players will need to check out
with 1 person and tell that adult how they are going home and with who. Never
leave any players at fields alone, if they came by bike then they need to leave
before you do.
3. Coaches/Assistant Coaches will always treat their players and the opposing teams coaches and players with respect. All coaches/assistant coaches agree to abide by the US Lacrosse Code of Conduct adopted by CFLC. Failure to abide with the code of conduct will result in immediate dismissal. Coaches/Assistant Coaches understand that if appointed, they are subject to suspension by the President and/or removal by the Board of Directors at will.
SPORTSMANSHIP
1. Players will respect coaches, league officials, referees, parents,
opposing players/parents at all times.
a. No foul language or gestures during games or practices or while wearing your
CFLC uniform, before or after a game.
b. No disrespectfulness to coaches, referees, league officials, opposing
players, fellow players. This would include being argumentative or harassing
another person (i.e. trash talking).
VIOLATION for a. and b. above: during practice...players will be benched for no
less than 5 minutes, and coach or league official will talk to the player.
Violation for a. and b. above during games as follows: 1st offense: 1 minute off
the field of play, 2nd offense: 3 minutes off the field of play, 3rd offense:
player will be ejected from game.
2. Injuries during games/practices for all players on field
(teammates/opposing players alike). All players will take a knee and
patiently wait, without commenting or talking, while injured player is attended
to.
3. Players allow your coaches and league officials to handle any
questionable calls/plays or another players/coaches behavior on your behalf.
If you are having a problem on the field, let your coach know when you come off
the field. Do not try to handle yourself, just keep playing the way you have
been taught.
4. Players will be respectful, gracious, and polite to opposing players and
coaching staff during end of game handshake. Remember to "Honor the Game"
