CFLC Information

The purpose of CFLC is to offer every player under the age of 16 the opportunity to learn the sport of lacrosse AND progress from fundamentals to competitive play.
All divisions require an active US Lacrosse membership. The membership requirement applies to every player and coach.
What are the age divisions?
The age of a player is determined as of December 31 in the year proceeding the current season. There are three age divisions: U11, U13 and U15.
The U15 and U13 division rules allow limited body checking. The U11 division rules exclude body checking of any form.
**The U13 & U15 divisions include individual teams. The U11 Scouts division is CoEd.**
U15 Warriors Instructional Team Division
7v7 and 10v10 Game Formats
Grade 7-8
Practices: 2 hrs/night 2 practices/wk
Player provides:
Girl´s - Stick, mouthpiece, goggles, cleats
League Provides: Reversible practice jersey
Program Description: This program introduces the player to the team skills required for lacrosse. It will continue to emphasize individual skills. Stick checking and
limited contact is allowed. Some of the concepts introduced in this program include: Checking, Feeding, Face-offs/Draws, Holds, Offensive play, Defensive Play, Clearing, Riding, Extra man offense,
Extra man defense and Goaltending. Rules and game strategies will also be taught. Most of the practices will consist of at least an hour of scrimmage play. Players will be encouraged to try multiple positions.
U13 Bandits Instructional Team Division
7v7 Game Format
Grade 4-6
Practices: 2 hrs/night 2 practices/wk

Grade K-3 Co-Ed
Practices: 2 hrs/night 1 practice/wk
Player provides: Mouthpiece, cleats
League Provides: Stick, Reversible practice jersey
Program Description: The following lacrosse concepts will be introduced and practiced in a non contact environment: Cradling, throwing, catching, scooping, dodging,
shooting, defensive positioning. Basic rules and positions will be taught.
When will the season start? The Spring instructional league starts in Mid January and ends in April.
